London Maritime Academy offers a comprehensive 5-day Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) Training course, perfectly aligned with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.

Drawing upon the latest International Maritime Organization (IMO) practices, the curriculum is based on the standards of the IMO PFSO Model Course (2015 edition), the Guide to Maritime Security and the ISPS Code.

- Genesis of ISPS Code – the terrorist threat against ships and ports – other types of illicit activities and threats to security and safety
- London diplomatic conference – SOLAS Chapter XI-2 and the ISPS Code - Functional requirements – responsibilities and roles of governments and various actors in ports
